The Friends of DalesBus

  • Join Us on a DalesBus Ramble!

Every Sunday and on several Saturdays this autumn and winter, DalesBus Ramblers are organising an easy to moderately paced guided walk, usually 5 to 8 miles, using one or more of the wonderful DalesBus services into the Yorkshire Dales National Park or Nidderdale AONB.

All you need is a pair of boots, waterproof clothing, water and a packed lunch. You will be led by an experienced guide, and welcomed by a friendly group of walkers of all ages and abilities, on a well-planned walk that often ends at a local hostelry.

Full details of the walks together with which bus to catch and where each walk starts and finishes to meet your homeward bus are on the DalesBus Ramblers website.

For full details of bus times and connecting services and bargain tickets, see the Metro Winter DalesBus timetable, or visit

Whilst every care will be taken all participants on a DalesBus Ramble are responsible for their own safety. Leaders retain the right to refuse to allow walkers with inadequate clothing or footwear to join walks, and, sadly, dogs cannot be allowed on walks owing to safety issues with farm livestock.
